Am I mistaken or is there a matching series that the traveler wires have to connect to? I ran a three-way and it is not working right now, except one side only so before I completely take this switch apart I’m wondering if there is more to it than what was shown here.

You can purge the extra air from within by pushing a small Allen key or tiny screw driver down into the top hole of the smaller tank. That creates more room for even more propane. Do this 2-3x after each refill and you'll get the tank 100% full. No need to use the side valve.

You don't explain where the power (black) wire coming from the breaker box is attached to the switch. Is it attached to the screw next to where it says ON on the front of the switch.or to where it says OFF on the front of the switch?

Interesting idea but don’t use channel locks on a brass fitting and find a “CRESCENT’ wrench to keep from rounding the fitting edges.

If any of you live near a propane tank company that fills your home for a gas stove or swimming pool. call them and see if they will fill your 20,30 lb. or more tanks. I have a propane company 4 miles from my house and they fill my 20lbs, for about 14.00 a fill. the hardware store i used to go to was charging 29.00 a fill. so give them a try. nothing to lose and money to gain.

You hooked your wires around the screws backward. You should always hook them around the screw clockwise so that when you tighten the screw it pulls the wire in. Hooking the wire counter-clockwise can make it loosen as you tighten the screw.

Just a question about the 3 way boxes on both sides of the 4 way box. Do you wire them the same exact way? I was wondering since the 3 way switch only has 1 black and 2 brass screws?

You're a dangerous fool. You did not snoop the fittings for leaks. You did not mention if all local open flames and\or gas ignition sources if present were extinguished. You did not mention fill capacity, overfilling and\or the effects of heat expansion on the smaller container. Is the small tank equivalent to a USA DOT 39 container? If so, USA federal law imposes a $500, 000 fine and 5 years in a federal penitentiary for refilling according to info here: youtube_c0m/watch?v=g2_GhyAw3vM. Enjoy the arrest, conviction & lawsuit if violating or advocating the violation of the law in the USA, if caught. But hey, who cares about law & order when it's inconvenient, right? What is the tab for? The one that you can break off? I had an electrician come in and checked my outlets that didn't work and he said you just need to break the tab but he didn't say why. The outlets worked for a year and now they stopped working again.
